Graduated as Civil Engineer in 2006, and ever since member of the Faculty of Engineering at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
As a professor in (civil) engineering, I have expertise in education, and particular interests in (gender in) STEM.
I promoted in 2010 with a PhD on lightweight composite shell structures. Since 2011 I direct the research group on composite materials in lightweight structures.
